AromataGroup, in compliance with the objectives of its environmental policy, signs an agreement with Sorgenia for the supply of electricity exclusively from renewable sources, such as photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric and biomass.
Procurement of energy from renewable sources is one of many projects to reduce the CO2 emitted by the production activity of AromatoGroup in order to contribute to the goals of containing global warming, set by the UN 2030 agenda.
The 2019 data provided by the GSE regarding the Italian national energy mix showed that 59% of the energy supplied to users was produced from non-renewable sources (methane gas, coal and nuclear, for example). Sorgenia will provide us with energy coming 100% from renewable sources, allowing us to save 0.53 tons of CO2 for each MWh consumed. Therefore, our three plants of Bresso, Concorezzo and Gessate will be able not to emit into the atmosphere about 1000 tons of CO2 per year.
